When someone is in a relationship with someone whos toxic they tend to shift the blame on themselves, "maybe I'm the problem" but more often than not it's their partner, and they're so hellbent on putting you down when you mess up and make you feel like they do no evil when they do, they trap you in. You realize that they're the problem but it feels like there's nowhere else to go, your perception of love is skewed and you're afraid you might not love again if you cut this off.
