Looking at the Golden Gate Bridge
Then you had to go back
You were hooked up to these machines
I should've visited you more often, but, I was scared
When you came out months later, we went to theme parks
We had fun together, but you were too ill to ride
The rides that we used to together
I didn't realize what was coming
You had to go back in one last time the moment after
You left me a text message, saying how proud of me you were
That you were sorry that you couldn't be there for me
Because of what's been happening
I didn't realize what it meant until the night you finally came back
